





We have been working with ASDA since August 2005 with a brief to manage its Northern Ireland market entry and expansion campaign. This embraces consumer media relations and public affairs support.
This was ASDA's first investment outside Great Britain and enabled us to prove our eyes and ears support capability to a major UK retailer.
At launch time our objective was to raise public awareness, build anticipation, and maximise goodwill, but critically also to manage expectations among consumers and wider communities.
Our approach is working, with sales figures exceeding target by 30% post opening.
Another key element of our work has been supporting ASDA’s public affairs and property teams, particularly by identifying and advising on engagement with key political, community and media stakeholders in all areas.
With 14 stores now open, we act as ASDA’s NI press office – monitoring activity, responding to media inquiries and generating creative publicity opportunities to consolidate and build awareness of this supermarket giant.
We are also supporting the company's expansion plans as they seek to develop new stores and sites in Northern Ireland.
