









Fruit of the Loom is the world’s leading tee-shirt/underwear brand, but it battles against fierce competition in the global textiles market. In common with many other textile companies, it has had its share of negative headlines.
Our brief was to inject a degree of perspective and realism into FoL’s ‘public persona’, particularly through a period of change where it eventually moved all of its manufaturing operations out of Northern Ireland. Redundancies, strikes and environmental issues have all been addressed through our PR campaign, in which we acted as the link between the company and the media. Local press in particular had taken a keen interest in FoL particularly if there has been any hint of negative news and our role helped the company quell rumours at an early stage and keep the longer term message in focus.
