Public Sector

The Public Sector is the largest employer in Northern Ireland and is a massive element of our economy. We have worked extensively with almost every government department and agency as well as most of our local councils. Our expertise and knowledge of the public sector ranges across a large amount of public services including health, education, transport and enterprise.

Armagh City & District Council
In 2007/08 Armagh City and District Council appointed Morrow Communications, to promote the city to its key audiences. The brief was to develop and support a sustained and strategic approach to the marketing and promotion of the city, the famed ecclesiastical capital of Ireland, and to do so under a new brand identity that would represent the city and its stakeholders.
DOE Climate Change & Waste Management Division
Morrow Communications was appointed by the Climate Change & Waste Management Division within the Department of Environment to undertake a communications audit and strategy development to support the current Waste Management Strategy.
eircom NI
We are assisting eircom NI develop a strong foothold in the NI marketplace. eircom Northern Ireland (NI) provides end to end tailored managed communications solutions and associated professional services to government and enterprise businesses, designed to maximise business value from their communications infrastructure.
Food Standards Agency
In 2003 The Food Standards Agency in NI devised a pilot scheme for a hygiene award for eating establishments. Morrow Communications was tasked with creating an identity for the scheme and launching it to its key audiences.
Homefirst Community & Hospital Trust
We were appointed to undertake a major review of Homefirst’s communication process and to advise the Trust on the development of a communications strategy.
HSENI
The Health and Safety Executive is the lead organisation on health and safety issues in Northern Ireland. Initially we helped the organsiation to develop a strategic communications plan to support their corporate objectives.
Local Government Boundaries Commissioner
Morrow Communications assisted the Local Government Boundaries Commissioner (LGBC) to proactively manage the official launch, and subsequent consultation period of its recommendations for the new make up of the council boundaries in Northern Ireland, following the Review of Public Administration (RPA).
NI Commissioner for Children and Young People (NICCY)
Following their establishment we developed and implemented an award winning campaign for the NI Commissioner to encourage young people to have their voice heard in deciding the priorities for the new agency.
Northern Ireland Science Park
Located in Belfast’s historic ship building yards amid the Titanic Quarter, Northern Ireland Science Park (NISP) was established in March 1999. It is a not-for-profit business that supports start up and incubation of innovation-led, high-growth, knowledge-based businesses.
Planning Appeals Commission
The independent appeals body established under statute to deal with a wide range of land use planning issues and related matters in Northern Ireland, the PAC is never far from public scrutiny.
Review Body on Post Primary Education
The Review Body on Post Primary Education examined proposals for the most fundamental reorganisation of Northern Ireland’s education system in over 50 years which included the abolition of the Eleven-Plus Transfer Tests.
SEUPB
The Special EU Programmes Body’s manages a number of high profile EU Structural Funds, such as the EU Programme for Peace and Reconciliation (PEACE II), INTERREG IIIA Programme and other community initiatives which support development and regeneration programmes in the North and South of Ireland.

As Northern Ireland’s provider of public bus and rail transport, Translink is rarely far from the news.
Warrenpoint Harbour Authority
We have worked with Warrenpoint Harbour Authority on a number of key projects. These include the promotion of the Authority’s Mussel Quay development project, a major €5million investment, jointly funded by European monies and Government Departments, North and South of the border.
