In November 2004, we were commissioned by John Lewis to provide PR advice and support in Ireland.
With a full range department store planned for Sprucefield near Lisburn, our remit is to provide strategic media relations and public affairs support to John Lewis during the planning stage and to manage the communication process during the construction and opening phases.
The challenge is that despite support in principle for John Lewis’ entry, the development location is being met with some opposition from other vested interests. Our role has been to state clearly the client’s position, provide an understanding of what makes John Lewis unique, and convey the benefits of their retail offering.
