Liberty IT is a vibrant software development centre working on technically complex and challenging software solutions for the exclusive use of its parent company, Liberty Mutual Group, the sixth largest property and casualty insurer in the US. Morrow Communications were appointed as events consultants to manage the 10th Anniversary Celebration events for Belfast based Liberty IT which included managing the official opening of the company’s new premises and coordinating a gala dinner at Parliament Buildings, Stormont.
The prestigious nature of both events was augmented by the guest list which included Nigel Dodds, Minister for the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment and Edmund F Kelly, Chairman, President and CEO of Liberty Mutual Group.
The official opening took place in Liberty IT’s premises – a fully functioning office - which presented an array of logistical challenges, the largest being to find a space that would accommodate all 240 staff members and an invited guest list of 60 VIPs. As such an area did not exist within the building we suggested splitting the delegates over three rooms, filming the event as it happened and relaying it live to the other two rooms.
This complex set up required an intricate installation process that was three weeks in the making and culminated in an all-inclusive and hugely successful launch event.
In the midst of this logistical challenge we also coordinated a gala dinner in the Long Gallery at Stormont, designing and producing all materials, managing the RSVP process, creating a sumptuous menu alongside catering partners Yellow Door and liaising with Stormont’s strict security team to ensure smooth delegate flow. Our meticulous attention to detail and creative flair resulted in a thoroughly impressive evening enjoyed by all.
