June 2008 - November 2009
The Brief:
In order to help local businesses increase their revenues and profitability particularly at this difficult ecomomic time, Invest NI hosted a series of Innovation Masterclasses. These events gave local entrepreneurs access to some of the worlds leading innovators, thinkers and consultants providing them with an insight into how by differentiating, being unique or by developing new business models, they can drive growth and sales success.
The Event:
Working directly with the CCMU, Morrow Communications were tasked with the complete event management for this series including consultation on the development of the programme, speaker suggestion, sourcing and management, venue finding and facilitating event logistics. Morrows recommended that the seminar take place at breakfast time, thus minimising delegate time away from the office. The venues also had to be unique and innovative to complement the subject matter and W5, the Baby Grand, The BBC Blackstaff Studio, the Studio at the Waterfront Hall are examples of where events have been hosted.
Morrow Communications worked alongside Invest NI’s design agency in developing the brand design for each event, which was carried throughout the event process including the invitation, set design and conference material.
As the programme was so specific, it was vital that the speakers selected for each event would captivate the audience, deliver a message that could be interpreted by local businesses and give inspitation and motivate delegates. Speakers have included:
The Result:
To date, over 750 local companies have attended the successful seminar series and attendee feedback has been extremely positive. Morrow Communications will continue to manage these events with further seminars planned for 2010.
