The Brief
Following the launch of the new skills strategy for Northern Ireland ‘ Success through Skills’ it was the responsibility of DELNI to create a forum that would bring together top level representatives from various sectors of employment and training to discuss the development of skills needs and opportunities in Northern Ireland.
The Event
After a site visit with one of our staging suppliers, we prepared scale drawings of a suitable backdrop and conference set to facilitate keynote presentations and a more informal question and answer session. We worked closely with DEL’s contracted graphic designers to incorporate the new Success through Skills branding. At the event, delegates were separated into their regional groupings by a colour coded badge matching a coloured tablecloth in the room. We managed full speaker rehearsals and briefings with the Permanent Secretary – Dr Aideen McGinley. As this event was the first ‘formal’ gathering of the Workforce Development Forum we recorded feedback from the round table discussions and later provided a transcript to DEL for evaluation purposes.
