In November 2008, Morrow’s events team assisted in the planning and creative design of the International Best Station Awards hosted by Translink. The awards ceremony and dinner were the culmination of a judging process which took place during the summer between five European Rail networks.
The first challenge was choosing a venue that could match up to the previous year’s - York’s award winning National Railway Museum! After much consideration W5 was the chosen location. In order to give the event the ‘wow’ factor our client desired, we developed a creative concept for the backdrop, staging and room dressing which reflected the brand and logo. We also programmed a city sightseeing tour and private walkthrough of Parliament Buildings for some of the first-time visitors to Northern Ireland in the afternoon prior to the dinner.
A full turn-out of 75 guests enjoyed a relaxed evening including a drinks reception with entertainment by a local harpist; a fabulous locally inspired menu and a nerve-wracking announcement of the winners! We seamlessly managed every aspect of this important event for Translink including venue dressing, technical script, multimedia presentation and supplier liaison.
