Over 120 people joined Social Economy Belfast’s celebration conference on Wednesday 3rd May 2006, at Belfast City Hall to hear from inspiring speakers from leading social enterprises, including Liam Black – Director of the Fifteen Foundation and Stephen Sears – CEO of ECT Group.
Morrows were brought in to ensure there was an up-beat feel to the event and help gain as much interactive feedback as possible in order to deliver the right support. Wesuggested moving away from an us and them environment and gain interaction from the audience throughout the day.
The day allowed an interactive forum and debate to take place between the audience and the speakers using the Crystal Interactive system. Many questions were posed directly to the speakers by BBC Radio Ulster journalist Seamus McKee, who acted as MC for the event. The remaining questions were answered by the speakers after the event and posted on the Social Economy Belfast website.
All in all delegates thought the event gave them motivation to carry on the path they have started, and that the variety of speakers and information shared was very worthwhile.
